Preparing for your SmartVAL

In this case your property has been selected for a SmartVAL, SmartVAL is a new innovative report type that speeds up the valuation process. SmartVal leverages cutting edge data and local valuer expertise with no physical inspection. Instead, you will receive a phone call from the valuer to discuss the property and provide any new or relevant information about the property. Aspects such as renovations, upgrades, condition and more all form part of this discussion with the valuer, this may also include providing photos in some cases.

What happens next? 

Be ready for the call. The valuer will already have intimate knowledge and data on your property from either a previous sale campaign or a valuation conducted within the last 5 years. If your property has undergone renovation, extension or changes, whether internal or external, please share this with the valuer at the time of the conservation, we want to fully appreciate all the changes, big and small that you’ve done to your property. On occasion, the valuer will ask to get updated photos of some of these significant additions, if so they will request this via a safe and secure one time use app, called ValAssist.

With a SmartVal the assessment report will be ready within 10 hours from the valuer phone call. For mortgage security assessmentswhere the instructing party is the lender, the valuer is unable to share the final report or figure with anyone other than the lender.
