In the rapidly evolving valuation industry, the ability to learn, adapt, and grow has become essential for long-term success. At Opteon, Learning and Development plays a central role in preparing our team members to meet these demands, guided by the leadership of Senior Vice President Natalie Tucker.
Natalie’s career reflects a blend of education and industry expertise that uniquely positions her to lead this function. She began as a high school social science teacher after earning a degree in secondary education. During that time, she entered the valuation field as a trainee appraiser. Her interest in the profession grew, leading her to transition into appraising full time and earn her certification as a residential appraiser in 2021.
Shortly after, Natalie was asked to establish a training function for Opteon’s US team. What began as a focused initiative has since developed into a comprehensive Learning and Development program that supports employees across the organization. Today, her team leads training efforts spanning human resources, corporate and regulatory compliance, leadership and professional development, and appraiser continuing education.
At the core of Natalie’s work is a strong commitment to people. “I am passionate about equipping each member of the Opteon Organization with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to be successful,” Natalie said. This focus drives the development of practical, relevant programs that support employees at every stage of their careers.
Her approach to training also reflects a broader vision for the role of learning in business. Natalie explains, “To me, training isn't about just checking a box or meeting the requirements of various regulatory bodies. It's an opportunity to help our people level up, innovate, and future-proof to deliver the valuations of today and tomorrow. By partnering with our profession, our customers, and our people I help create the environment for success here at Opteon.” Her perspective has helped position Learning and Development as a meaningful contributor to both employee growth and organizational performance.
Under Natalie’s leadership, Learning and Development has become embedded in Opteon’s culture. Programs are designed with clear objectives and aligned with business needs, supporting consistency and scalability across the organization. She collaborates closely with colleagues and stakeholders to keep training relevant and responsive to the demands of the valuation industry.
Through her work, Natalie continues to strengthen our investment in our wonderful people. Her leadership supports a workplace where employees can build skills, expand their expertise, and contribute to delivering strong outcomes for clients.
