We're pleased to welcome David Mentesana, MAI, to Opteon as our new Chief Appraiser.
David brings more than 25 years of experience in valuation, appraisal oversight, and regulatory compliance. Throughout his career, he has worked with financial institutions to strengthen valuation programs, support sound lending decisions, and navigate an evolving regulatory environment across both residential and commercial real estate.
His expertise includes appraisal review, reconsideration of value process, valuation governance, and portfolio risk assessment, along with deep knowledge of agency and regulatory requirements.
As Chief Appraiser, David will help drive appraisal quality, consistency, and industry leadership across Opteon. His experience comes at a pivotal time for the industry as lenders, appraisers, and appraisal management companies prepare for the transition to UAD 3.6. David will play an important role in helping our appraisers and customers understand what's changing, prepare for new requirements, and make informed decisions with confidence.
David holds the prestigious MAI designation and maintains Certified General Appraiser licenses in multiple states. In addition, he is a licensed real estate broker and property tax consultant in Texas. His diverse professional background offers a broad understanding of property valuation, market dynamics, and the complex issues impacting today's real estate professionals.
