Industry Experience
Jack is a Valuer with five years of experience in the property sector and a strong background in government services. He joined Opteon in January 2026 after spending several years developing his valuation expertise within the public sector. During this time, he built capability across the management of local rating contracts and delivered market valuations for a wide range of clients.
His experience covers all typical asset types associated with Council rating portfolios, with the exception of farms. Jack has completed valuations for rating purposes, mortgage security, refinancing, and reverse mortgage assessments. He has supported the Greater Wellington regional councils for more than five years, including Wellington City, Porirua, Hutt City, Kapiti Coast, Upper Hutt, and South Wairarapa. His work has included council revaluations and ongoing maintenance of DVR.
Jack also brings leadership experience from his time as a Senior Consultant, where he led two successful rating revaluation projects and supported graduates working toward registration. He now applies this experience at Opteon with a practical, reliable, and evidence-based approach to every assignment.
