Industry Experience
Michael is a Registered Valuer who has recently joined Opteon, bringing extensive experience across commercial, industrial and residential valuation, together with specialist expertise in compensation, leasehold and complex property matters. prior to joining Opteon, Michael worked with the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) as a Senior Property Acquisition Manager, where he was responsible for managing large‑scale property acquisition programmes and developed a strong working knowledge of the Public Works Act 1981 and statutory acquisition processes.
Before moving into the public sector, Michael spent five years as a Registered Valuer with Prendos, undertaking a broad range of commercial and residential valuations throughout Auckland for purposes including mortgage security, compensation, rent reviews, insurance, matrimonial matters, arbitration and leasehold interests.
