Industry Experience
Shannon has been working for Opteon since October 2023, and has worked alongside the Government Services team, assisting with day-to-day exercises. She is involved in the residential property valuations and assists in ensuring all subdivisions have been put in place, building consents have been managed on selected properties, improvement values have been added to associated properties, and all sales coding has been updated.
Shannon has contributed to the 2024 Hamilton City Council Revaluation, the 2026 Taupō District Council Revaluation, and the 2026 Matamata-Piako District Council Revaluation. These projects have provided valuable experience and strengthened her valuation expertise. She is keen to build on this foundation and continue developing her technical knowledge and professional capabilities.
Shannon has begun her three years of training to become a Registered Property Valuer, and she is excited and eager to progress in her career and planning to complete her registration by November 2027.
