Opteon Technology is Verified to Support UAD 3.6 Specifications
Opteon is proud to announce that Jaro software has been verified to support the UAD 3.6 specifications by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, a major milestone in the modernization of residential appraisals. As one of the largest dedicated appraisal and valuation firms globally, Opteon leads the market with the only fully integrated, end-to-end technology stack in the U.S., enabling seamless delivery from order intake through report authoring and submission.
This milestone arrives at a critical moment for the industry. In a recent Opteon survey of over 300 panel appraisers, only 26% reported feeling well prepared for UAD 3.6, and 60% anticipate needing technical support during the transition.
The biggest roadblock? Software readiness.
By achieving verification before Broad Production of UAD 3.6 began and investing in comprehensive appraiser support, Opteon is addressing the industry's most pressing challenges head-on.
Since the January verification by the GSE’s, Opteon Appraisers have been partnering with clients to deliver both UAD 3.6 and UAD 2.6 appraisal reports simultaneously, enabling side-by-side comparisons for enhanced validation, training, and execution.
Powered by Jaro, Opteon staff appraisers currently deliver desktop files from the field and a percentage of full valuations same day as inspection, reducing lender cycle times while improving consistency and data quality across the mortgage ecosystem. This proven technology platform is now verified to support UAD 3.6 specifications well ahead of the November 2, 2026 deadline to use UAD 3.6 for all appraisal reports used for loans sold to the GSEs.
Why It Matters
