Maria Berto is a General Manger in the U.S. property valuation industry, currently leading Professional Services across Opteon’s U.S. platform. In this role, Maria is responsible for end-to-end delivery and growth across Opteon Appraisal and Opteon AMC, spanning Residential, Commercial, Alternative Products and centralized Operations, including fulfilment, assignment, and quality control.
Maria’s remit is focused on building a scalable, high-performing professional services engine that enables organic revenue growth above market trends, driven by new lender relationships, increased customer wallet share, and technology-enabled delivery. She partners closely with executive leadership to align growth strategy with operational excellence, ensuring utilisation, turnaround time, quality, and customer experience remain core priorities.
With over a decade of leadership experience across both the Australian and U.S. appraisal markets, Maria brings a unique perspective to valuation services, combining deep industry knowledge with a strong focus on standardisation, performance frameworks, and modern operating models. She is known for leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams through change, simplifying systems and processes, and translating strategy into measurable outcomes.
Maria is a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) and has held many senior leadership roles across her career. Her leadership style is grounded in transparency, accountability, and collaboration, with a strong commitment to developing capable teams and fostering a performance-driven culture aligned with Opteon’s values.
