Takeaways from Valusignal, APM Symposium, and TFSB Golf Outing

September was a busy month for the Opteon and Jaro teams, with opportunities to connect with industry leaders, customers, and appraisers at multiple events including the TFSB Gold Outing, APM Symposium, and ValuSignal 2026.

While each event offered a different experience and audience, one topic of conversation remained consistent: Everyone’s needs and pain points are changing quickly with the upcoming UAD 3.6 mandate. How do we implement this change without disrupting our business?

Our goal at these events was simple: Give appraisers and customers the chance to experience Opteon and Jaro’s UAD 3.6 staff readiness, fast turnaround times, and the operational advantages of Opteon’s support and the Jaro technology.

Building Trust and Relationships

From conversations on the course at the TFSB Golf Outing to discussions in our booth at APM Symposium, our team appreciated the opportunities to connect face-to-face with the people we work with every day and show our clients resources available to them that they may not have otherwise known about.

These events aren’t just about showing up. They’re an opportunity to listen and better understand the challenges our customers and partners are navigating and provide them with the tools that make their lives easier.

“Seeing our current branches face-to-face while in Chicago was invaluable. The conversations, new connections, and shared ideas reminded me that strong partnerships are built through personal relationships.” said  Gabby Morales – Account Success Manager.

What We Heard from the Industry

A recurring theme across September’s events was the importance of technology, adaptability, and staying ahead of change.

With UAD 3.6 and broader changes across valuation technology, professionals are thinking carefully about how the tech they choose can ease workflows and decrease turnaround times while maintaining the quality and confidence that they have already built.

At APM Symposium, our team had the opportunity to hear directly from clients and fellow industry experts about what’s working, what’s not, and where we can step in to help.

Continuing the Conversation at ValuSignal

September also brought ValuSignal 2026, where Opteon team members shared their expertise as seasoned appraisers currently working through UAD 3.6 orders. In Walitt’s Power Hour Session, Will Salus, our VP of Product Management and Tech Innovation, led a Q&A answering common appraiser questions, providing insight on how Opteon’s training, technology, workflows, and support are the industry’s best when it comes to preparing for UAD 3.6.

Robert Baird, one of our Regional Managers, led “From Appraiser to Leader: Building a Long-Term Career in Valuation” where he had a chance to dive in deep into how his career as an appraiser has unfolded and where it is going in this next chapter of the industry.

The virtual format provided another way to connect with appraisers and contribute to conversations around career development, leadership, and the future of valuation, all from the comfort of our own homes!

Moving Forward with Increased Perspective

Events like these give us more than visibility. They give us more perspective.

The conversations we had throughout September events reinforced the importance of listening to the industry, understanding what our customers need, and continuing to invest in the people, technology, and processes that help us all.

As the industry continues to evolve, we’ll keep showing up, listening, and bringing those insights back to how we serve our customers.

Thank you to everyone who connected with the Opteon and Jaro teams throughout September. We look forward to continuing the conversation.

Catch the Opteon team at MBA Annual, NAMB National, SECUREN Annual, and Appraisal Summit in October to hear about the steps we are taking to make sure you are knowledgable and UAD 3.6 ready. We’d love to meet with you and explore how Opteon can support your valuation needs.
