Industry Experience
Matt is an accomplished Associate Director within Opteon’s Victorian Government Services team, specialising in Rating and Taxing Valuations. With over seven years of extensive experience in valuing both residential and commercial properties, Matt has demonstrated expertise across various regions, including Victoria’s southeastern growth corridor, the Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsula, Regional Victoria, Bayside Melbourne, Victoria’s Western Growth Corridor, and metropolitan Adelaide.
Prior to joining Opteon in January 2024, Matt conducted residential and commercial valuations for the Valuer General of South Australia. Matt has a strong valuations risk focus, having previously worked for Westpac in a national role as a Risk Manager in Valuations Risk and Compliance.
In his current role at Opteon, Matt acts as the Site Manager for Rating and Taxing Valuations for Hobsons Bay City Council and Wyndham City Council. Additionally, he undertakes Public Open Space Valuations and Specialised Valuations.
