Chris Mitrothanasis currently leads Opteon’s Government services teams in NSW, QLD, NT and WA as Senior Director – Government & Advisory.
With over 22 years’ experience within the valuation industry, Chris has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to Opteon. He is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute, a sitting member of the API NSW State Committee, a Certified Practicing Valuer and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Land Economics) Degree at the University of Western Sydney.
Chris is accredited within Opteon as a specialist childcare valuer whilst also an expert in the residential and mixed-use development sector. Chris is also a recognised valuer on behalf of the Australian Property Institute, where he is commissioned to undertake Commercial and Industrial rental determinations.

Commencing his valuation career in 2004 in Perth and becoming licensed in 2007, Ben has tended to focus on commercial property valuations across most generic fields including industrial, commercial/retail and residential. In 2007 Ben moved to the Kimberley and over the following 11 years covered most asset classes including residential, going concerns (sub $5,000,000) and agri-business valuations. Over the course of 2017 and 2018, Ben assisted with a lead roll in mass appraisals for the Northern Territory Government in Darwin and Palmerston. Daniel has over 24 years’ experience in the Property Industry. He has extensive valuation experience in multiple asset classes throughout Adelaide and regional South Australia. His areas of specialisation include childcare (including freehold going concerns) and accommodation assets (motels, caravan parks). He has considerable experience in prestige residential, residential development projects, commercial, industrial and retail assets. He has undertaken numerous valuations for legal purposes (including for the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in family court proceedings) and is an experienced compulsory acquisition valuer. Daniel is currently an examiner for the Australian Property Institute for both RPV and CPV applicants. Daniel manages Opteon’s South Australian commercial and agribusiness valuation team and is responsible for meeting client delivery requirements within this team.

Steve has in excess of 30 years’ experience in valuation and consultancy. Initially having worked in Perth for both government and private entities, Steve relocated to Broome in March 2000 until his return to Perth in December 2014.

William has practised as a property valuer since June 2000. Prior to that, he practised as a quantity surveyor. After commencing his property career in Adelaide, Daniel moved to the Northern Territory in 2006.
