Industry Experience

Dan has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry, having commenced his valuation career in residential property before transitioning to Opteon’s Commercial Division in Western Australia in 2009. He currently leads a national team of more than 150 valuation specialists across Commercial, Specialist Real Estate, Residential Development and Agribusiness disciplines. Dan regularly prepares valuation advice for key clients across finance, acquisition and disposal, negotiation, and strategic decision making, with a particular focus on major office and industrial assets and markets. He is strongly committed to professional excellence—both personally and across the business—and actively supports this through the mentorship and development of Opteon’s valuers. 

Formal Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce – Majoring in Property and Finance (Curtin University)
  • Post Graduate Certificate of Property Valuation
  • Associate Member of the Australian Property Institute (API member No. 65214)
  • Licensed Valuer in the State of Western Australia (Licence No. 44361)
