Industry Experience

Gavin re‑joined Opteon in 2025 as a Senior Valuer, having previously worked with Opteon for approximately five years between 2009 and 2014. He commenced his valuation career in 2008 as a trainee valuer with Brothers and Newton, which later became part of Opteon.

During the intervening period, Gavin further developed his experience as a Property Valuer with Herron Todd White. Gavin now has extensive experience primarily in residential valuation and consultancy, including residential and rural properties. His current areas of specialisation include valuations of flats and villas, detached dwellings, rural residential properties, vacant land, subdivisions, and development sites, as well as development feasibility assessments. Gavin has considerable experience preparing valuations for a range of purposes, including mortgage security, accounting and financial reporting, and family law matters.
