Industry Experience
Richard began his tenure with Opteon in 2016, working in a FIFO residential valuer role. He spent two years based in Darwin and one year covering the Perth metropolitan area and various country towns across the WA Wheatbelt. Richard completed residential and rural residential market valuations for mortgage security purposes for various lending institutions, pre-purchase/pre-sale advice for properties, private market valuations including small hobby farms and rural residential holdings, progress inspections for residential properties and Defence Housing Authority valuations in Darwin.
In 2019, Richard undertook a 10-month contract valuation role with Landgate undertaking Rating and Taxing valuations, including handling objections for Gross Rental and Unimproved Values.
Richard returned to Opteon in 2020 as Residential Valuer for Geraldton and the Midwest Region of WA. A seasoned senior valuer, he achieved his Associateship with the Australian Property Institute in 1995, following his initial training with the Valuer General’s Office beginning in 1988. His extensive experience spans regional WA, including Albany, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, the WA Wheatbelt, and Exmouth, as well as the Perth metropolitan area.
