Regional valuation specialist, with deep experience in agricultural supply chain assets, from farm (orchards, dairies, dryland cropping & grazing, irrigation) to food processing (milk, fruit, specialized) and support industry (feed mills, cool stores, etc), as well as general industrial and commercial, and land development projects.

Particular expertise in compulsory acquisition and compensation matters, having worked for both landowners and acquiring authorities on projects including Inland Rail, Goulburn Valley Highway duplication, multiple pipeline and infrastructure projects across Victoria.
Industry Experience
Qualified since 1990, David is a recognised water market expert and has presented at several national and international conferences on the interpretation of water
markets.
As a specialist in agricultural supply-chain valuation, David has particular expertise in irrigation properties, including dairies, orchards, vineyards, and intensive animal enterprises. He has valued major cool storage complexes, fruit packing and grading developments, glasshouses, and multiple specialised going concern enterprises. David is also an experienced expert witness, having provided evidence in major litigation matters across several jurisdictions, including the Victorian Supreme Court
David has a deep understanding of rural economies and the water sector. He currently serves as a Director of GoulburnMurray Water and has previously served several terms as Chair of North East Water, and as Director of Goulburn Valley Water. He is Co-Chair of the influential GMID Water Leadership Forum, a prominent water policy think tank, and has served on several state and federal government taskforces, panels, and committees focused on regional development and water policy.
In 2015, David received the Australian Property Institute’s Award for Meritorious Service.
