Scott’s experience in the property industry spans 21 years. Initially commencing his career in sales and commercial property management, Scott has been a passionate member of the valuation industry for over 14 years.

An associate member of the API for many years, Scott transitioned to Opteon in mid-2009. He has worked in various senior leadership roles within the business and is presently the Managing Director for Opteon Australia and New Zealand.

Scott has previously served the API as a member of various committees, including the API Admission Sub-Committee and API’s Victorian State Committee, during which the Institute has undergone a significant period of change.

Recognising the importance of active participation in the industry, Scott says,

‘I’m passionate about property and people. I am looking forward to leveraging my career experience to add value to API’s various stakeholders and helping to build and develop our industry even further.’

Scott acknowledges the existing and newly-appointed directors, saying,

‘I would like to congratulate each of the new directors and give my thanks to the outgoing Board members for their service to the API and the industry at large.’
