Australian Property Institute (API) Board election underway
Press Release
The Australian Property Institute is the leading industry body for property professionals in Australia.
The API sets and maintains standards of professional practice, education, ethics and professional conduct for their member base which comprises representatives from all sectors of the property profession, including private practice and the public sector.
From Monday 11 May until Wednesday 20 May 2020, voting is open for the API’s Board of Directors.
There are four vacant positions on the Board, with Opteon’s CEO, Chris Knight, one of the eleven candidates nominated.
An incumbent board member, Chris has again nominated himself, commenting that he remains committed to building the voice, reach and relevance of the API.
“The API has evolved significantly in the last few years, and I would like to see the organisation become even more proactive and influential in the future.
There are great opportunities ahead for the property profession. I feel very strongly that I can make an important contribution to the wider property business community as a member of the Board.”
As CEO of Opteon, Chris has led the business’s strategic vision for diversification as well as organic and international development, resulting in significant growth over the past few years.
Opteon encourages all API members to vote in the election – it is the best way we can we each have our say on the future of the API, and the industry.
API members will receive a dedicated voting link via email. More information about the election can be found here.
Voting closes at 23:59 AEST on Wednesday 20 May 2020.
